TOURIST: Excuse me, can you help me? I’m
lost!
ANNIE: Of
course, where do you want to go?
TOURIST: I want to go to the castle, but I
can’t find it. Is it too far?
ANNIE: No,
not really. It’s about a 15 minute walk.
TOURIST: Maybe I should get a taxy. My
rucksack’s quite heavy.
ANNIE: No, no. It’s very easy. Really. I can
give you directions
TOURIST: Thanks a lot.
ANNIE:
You’re welcome. Now, go along this street to the traffic lights. Can you see
them?
TOURIST: Yes, I can see them.
ANNIE: Right.
At the traffic lights, turn left into Museum Place
TOURIST:
Museum Place
ANNIE: Go
straight on until you see the cinema and then take the third right into
Museum Drive.
TOURIST: OK. Traffic lights, turn left into
Museum Place, straight on and then the first into Museum Drive
ANNIE: No,
it’s the third right
TOURIST: Ah, right, by the cinema.
ANNIE:
Yes. Follow Museum Drive and turn right again into St. Mary’s Street you’ll
see a chemist’s on the corner and an Internet café next to it.
TOURIST: OK. So, I’m on St. Mary’s Street. Where do I go then?
ANNIE:
Walk along St. Mary’s StreeT. Then when you get to the zebra crossing, take the next left into Cathay
Terrace and the castle is at the end of the road, just past the bank.
TOURIST: Great. I hope I can remember all
that. Thanks again for your help.
ANNIE: Not
at all.
